Bike Smart ~ Grow Smart and Triangle Spokes Group bring new wheels to bicycle clinics in the Triangle

Bike Smart Grow Smart is a local all volunteer organization in the Triangle with a mission to teach better biking one child at a time.  Thanks to the help of Triangle Spokes Group they are able to host these clinics with brand new, safe bicycles!

This Summer Triangle Spokes Group had the opportunity to provide Bike Smart Grow Smart 36 shiny new bicycles.  Bike Smart Grow Smart came to us to share the work that their organization was doing here in the Triangle from the Garner Road Community Center.  The challenge they were up against was that the bikes they were working with had often been donated or recovered from robberies and they were not always in the best of condition. They wanted to provide reliable bicycles to be able to host their events around the Triangle for the children to be able to use.

Here are some images from the last clinic and a letter from the Bike Smart Grow Smart Team regarding the bikes.

This was the note we received from Bike Smart Grow Smart and there is no doubt that these bicycles will be put to good use and to better our community!

Dear Partners,
All of us at Bike Smart Grow Smart would like to thank the Triangle Spokes organization for your generous donation. These 36 new bicycles will go a long way to help the children of Southeast Raleigh learn good health practices, citizenship and communication, not to mention life-long safe cycling skills.
We are very excited about getting them put together and using them in our classes, which will begin very soon.
Your partnership means a lot to us and we are grateful that you see the benefit of the vision we have for these children and their families.
Sincerely,
Bike Smart Grow Smart
